They are primarily used in industrial food- and beverage-processing applications. Bulk food hoses and bulk beverage hoses are made from materials that meet or exceed FDA and USDA sanitary standards for food contact. They can be cut to the desired length and compatible hose fittings can be added to the ends of the hoses for connecting them to equipment.

They are reinforced with spiral-plied synthetic fabric with a galvanized wire helix for strength.
