Heater hoses carry coolant between a vehicle's engine and its heater core in order to warm up the vehicle's interior. They are a part of the vehicle's cooling system that keeps the engine from overheating and malfunctioning. These hoses are made from materials that can withstand exposure to the chemicals and additives used in vehicle cooling systems. This hose is made from EPDM, which provides excellent resistance to ozone and high temperatures and good resistance to chemicals. The hose meets SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard 20R3 for class D2 hose. It is a normal-service heater hose with an inside diameter of 1" or less, and it provides low oil resistance.
