Gas spring-return hose reels are used with gas hoses and commonly found in utility, ground support, and bulk liquid handling transport services. The spring-return, also called self-retracting, spring-driven, or spring rewind, allows users to manually rewind hose onto the reel without an external power source. The spring-return has a locking ratchet and pawl that locks into place once users have pulled the hose to the desired length. The ratchet is released by pulling the hose out, and then hose can be rewound onto the gas hose reel.

Gas spring-return hose reels with hoses handle gasoline. The heavy-duty steel reels are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and have solid brass 90° full-flow NPT swivel inlets. These low-pressure (up to 500 psi) reels mount on the floor, wall, ceiling, or on trucks. These gas hose reels hold gas hoses commonly used in fuel storage and dispensing systems, for aircraft refueling, and with tank trucks.
