Aluminum Cam & Groove Fittings

Aluminum cam and groove fittings consist of a grooved male nipple (adapter) and a female cam (coupler or camlock) that tighten together to form a seal. Aluminum cam and groove couplings are lightweight and resist corrosion, but are more susceptible to scratches and wear unless alloyed with other metals for strength. Aluminum camlock fittings are commonly used with water, chemicals, hydraulic oil, and petroleum products.

Aluminum Dry Disconnect Couplings
Aluminum dry disconnect couplings help prevent spills or releases from normal or accidental disconnects by using a sealing device that closes the valve to limit liquid loss. Dry disconnect couplings work with DBA-style adapters, and standard cam and groove dust plugs (Type DP) sized one size larger than the dry disconnect in pharmaceutical, chemical, and petroleum production. Stainless steel handle allows exposure to corrosive chemicals and prevents crank assembly from bending. Cam arms provide added security from accidental opening due to vibration or snagging.

Type A Aluminum Cam & Groove Fittings
Type A aluminum cam and groove fittings include a male nipple (adapter) x female NPT connection. Type A camlock fittings are most often used with Type D adapters of the same size, and can also be used with Type B, C, and D adapters, and Type DC dust caps. Type A aluminum camlock couplings are used with suction and milling hoses to deliver water, fuels, and slurry.
