Marine coatings and paints are a type of protective coating used mostly in water-borne environments to protect ships, vessels, tankers, and other materials from saline water or fresh water. These coatings protect materials from corrosion and abrasion and give them protective layers against moisture such as rain, freshwater, saltwater, or brackish water. Offshore oil rigs are coated with marine paints as well to prevent the metal from rust and corrosion.
Boat Bottom Side Paints
Boat bottom paints are designed to slow the growth of or to detach existing aquatic organisms on hulls of boats. Also called anti-fouling boat paint, these coatings act as barriers against corrosion that can weaken the hull or they can improve the flow of water that passes the hull while the boat is moving.
