Direct drive blower HVAC AC motors turn the blower wheels or fan blades that are mounted directly to the motor shaft. They provide quiet operation with less noise and vibration than belt-drive models and have no belts or sheaves to wear out and replace. Motors are commonly used in HVAC repair and maintenance to replace HVAC motors with the same specifications to ensure the equipment can continue to circulate air with no loss in performance.

Permanent split capacitor (PSC) direct drive blower HVAC AC motor kits come with a motor, brackets, and adapters that allow mounting of the motor to compatible HVAC equipment. The motors have a capacitor that decreases the amount of power consumed for a given load making them more energy efficient than shaded pole motors.
