Vertical pump AC motors, also known as P-base motors, are used to power industrial pumps that transfer gases, water, or other liquids through a system in wastewater treatment plants, pulp and paper mills, agricultural irrigation systems, and petrochemical facilities. They are suitable for use in dusty and moist environments and have a compact, vertical design with a smaller footprint than horizontal pumps making them suitable for installation in tight spaces. These motors come with a cast-iron frame and drip-cover canopies to help protect motor components from abrasives, chemicals, and corrosion.
