Straight-Flute Thread Mills

Straight-flute thread mills are suitable for general purpose thread-milling applications. They provide good strength but require a rigid machine setup. Straight-flute thread mills create threads of the same pitch in a range of hole diameters, eliminating the need to change tools when threading multiple holes of different sizes. Thread mills are only usable in CNC machines that have helical interpolation capability.

AlCrN-Coated Carbide Straight-Flute Thread Mills
The AlCrN coating on these thread mills protects them from wear during dry, high-speed machining applications. It is harder, resists cracking and oxidization better, and performs better in high-feed applications than a TiAlN coating. It also resists high heat better than an AlTiN coating.
