These systems consist of a two-piece die, a cap, and a guide that are used together as an assembly to cut external threads on a cylindrical part. They allow users to create threads in a range of sizes without having to purchase a separate die assembly for each thread size. Users can swap the two-piece die in the assembly with another two-piece die to change the size of the threads created by the assembly. Caps and guides can be purchased individually or as a collet.
