Precision and machinist levels measure horizontal evenness and incline when setting up machinery and workpieces in high-accuracy applications. Also known as master precision levels, they have precision ground and graduated vials for taking exact measurements. They are also made to tighter tolerances than typical construction levels. These levels are commonly used to inspect and adjust machine tables and other components of CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
Machinist Levels
Machinist levels house their vials in a tube that mounts onto the levels' base and can be replaced as needed to maintain accuracy.

T-Shaped Levels
T-shaped levels have cross-test vials for checking square and leveling simultaneously in two directions. Mounting holes permit fastening to machinery and other surfaces.

Triangular-Shaped Levels
These levels protect their vials within a triangular frame, which also provides two measuring faces to check level. Their smooth measuring face sits flush on flat surfaces, and their V-grooved measuring face forms a cradle for pipe, shafts, cylinders, and other curved surfaces.

Frame Levels
Frame levels provide four-sided protection for their vials and can sit on any side to check level. They have a V-groove on their bottom and on one or more of their sides to sit on flat surfaces as well as shafts and cylinders.
