Order LookupWire & Sheet Metal Thickness Gauges
Available3 products
Wire and sheet metal thickness gauges are circular metal discs that have precision holes and slots cut into them. These templates have gauge sizes printed on one side and often decimal and inch equivalents printed on the other side. They are an easy way to assess the gauge number of sheet metal for steel or iron, and the wire gauge size for steel, aluminum, brass, and copper wire.
Gauge Standard
Wire Thickness Gauges
Wire thickness gauges are manufactured to the American Wire Gage (AWG) standard from stamped steel. They have slots ranging typically from AWG #36 to AWG #0 and are provided with decimal inch equivalents on the other side of the disc. These are appropriate for gaging wire size and thickness of sheet and plate that is made from nonferrous metals such as aluminum, brass and copper.
