Outside Micrometers & Sets

Outside micrometers consist of a barrel stock and C-shaped jaw with an adjustable spindle and fixed anvil with parallel flat contact points at either end of the jaw. The jaws are adjusted to measure the outside dimensions of raw materials, whole workpieces, and features in production, QA, and inspection environments in both metalworking and other industrial applications. Digital outside micrometers have a digital display that shows measurements electronically. Mechanical outside micrometers have a graduated vernier scale used for determining measurements manually. Micrometer sets have multiple micrometers in a single case for measuring multiple ranges with tools that have the same design and feel.
