Order LookupGeneral Purpose Roughing/Finishing Carbide Ball End Mills
Available5 products
General purpose carbide ball end mills are intended for milling a wide variety of common materials but are not suitable for milling hard materials like titanium or gummy materials like aluminum. Roughing/finishing end mills remove large amounts of material and create a smooth finish on the workpiece at the same time. Carbide end mills provide excellent wear resistance and heat resistance, and they are harder than high-speed steel or cobalt steel end mills. Ball end mills have a rounded nose that creates a round-bottomed groove in milling tasks. Also known as ball-nose end mills, they are rotated against a workpiece to make round-bottomed slots and pockets or mill complex shapes without sharp corners.

General Purpose Roughing/Finishing AlTiN-Coated Carbide Ball End Mills
The AlTiN coating on these end mills protects them from wear and is more resistant to high heat than TiN, TiCN, and TiAlN coatings. AlTiN-coated end mills are used for milling hard and abrasive materials.

4-Flute General Purpose Roughing/Finishing Bright Finish Carbide Ball End Mills
Four-flute end mills clear chips more quickly than end mills with more flutes and allow for higher feed rates than end mills with fewer flutes. They also typically have larger cores and are less prone to breaking than end mills with fewer flutes. The bright finish on these end mills provides a smooth, polished surface.

General Purpose Roughing/Finishing TiCN-Coated Carbide Ball End Mills
