The vertical ram of these press brakes drives a punch into a die to form a crease in sheet metal. They accommodate larger sheets than horizontal press brakes and provide more control of bend profiles than straight or box-and-pan brakes. The sheet metal workpiece sits on top of the die along the selected fold and the brake lowers the punch into the sheet, forcing it into the die to make the fold. Press brakes are commonly used to bend automotive panels, create metal containers, and form framing components.

Hydraulic Press Brakes

Hydraulic Press Brakes
Hydraulic cylinders in these press brakes control the force and motion of the ram to press a punch into thick sheet metal and create bends of a specific depth. They accept compatible punch-and-die sets with different profiles to form the desired bend shape.
