Order LookupDrill Presses, Magnetic Drills & Mill Drills
Drill presses and magnetic drills have a vertical drill head mounted to a base that provides stability and maintains consistent alignment to make more uniform holes than handheld drills. Magnetic drills are portable drill presses with a magnetic base that sticks to ferrous metal surfaces. Also known as mag drills, they rotate annular cutters or other bits to make holes in structural steel, I-beams, pipe, and other metal workpieces that are fixed in place or too large to bring to a stationary drill press. Shop drill presses are stationary drilling machines that mount to a benchtop or floor. They use bits to drill into wood or metal workpieces that are supported by the table mounted below the drill head. Drill press guards provide a barrier near the bit that deflects chips and debris to prevent injuries to drill operators. Drill press arbors replace worn arbors or change to a different connection style or size.
