Masonry- and tile-cutting hole saws have an abrasive-grit rim for cutting cement block, tile, fiberglass, and other abrasive materials. Hole saws cut a ring of material out of the workpiece. This speeds drilling and allows larger holes to be drilled using a handheld power drill than would be possible using a drill bit.

These masonry- and tile-cutting hole saws don't include an arbor, allowing users to customize their hole saw or use their own arbor. Arbors attach to a hole saw to mount the saw in the drill and attach a pilot bit.
