Wood-Cutting Hole Cutters

Wood-cutting hole cutters are used on wood, MDF, and plywood. They are often used to cut quickly through 2x4s. Hole cutters have a hollow center and a number of cutting teeth similar to those found on a circular saw blade. They cut holes by removing a section of material while leaving the core whole. This speeds drilling and allows larger holes to be made using a handheld power drill than is possible using a standard drill bit.

These wood-cutting hole cutters don't include an arbor, allowing users to customize their hole saw or use their own arbor. Arbors attach to a hole saw to mount the saw in the drill and attach a pilot bit.
