Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits

Available6 products
Carbide extended-length drill bits provide excellent hardness, wear resistance, and heat resistance. They are harder than high-speed steel or cobalt extended-length drill bits and require a rigid setup such as a fixed-spindle machine. Carbide extended-length drill bits create precise holes with a smooth finish and often eliminate the need for reaming the hole after drilling. These bits have longer flutes and more overall length than standard jobber-length drill bits of the same size, and they have longer shanks than taper-length drill bits. Their extra length allows them to create deep holes or access hard-to-reach areas.

Coolant-Through EgiAs-Coated Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits

Coolant-Through EgiAs-Coated Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits
The EgiAs coating on these drill bits resists oxidation at high temperatures and provides excellent hardness and heat resistance. The coating protects the bits from wear in high-speed drilling applications with steel, cast iron, and hardened steel with a Rockwell hardness of 35 to 50 HRC. These drill bits have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and help clear chips during drilling. Spiral-flute drill bits evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.

Coolant-Through TiAlN-Coated Helical-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits

Coolant-Through TiAlN-Coated Helical-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits
Helical-flute drill bits create smaller chips and evacuate them more quickly than standard spiral-flute drill bits. These drill bits have a TiAlN coating that withstands high temperatures and protects the bits from wear during high-speed, dry machining applications with difficult-to-machine ferrous metals. Coolant-through drill bits have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and help clear chips during drilling.

Coolant-Through WD1-Coated Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits

Coolant-Through WD1-Coated Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits
The WD1 coating on these drill bits is harder than TiAlN and EgiAs coatings, has excellent heat resistance, and protects the tool from wear when drilling into steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, and cast iron. These drill bits have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and help clear chips during drilling. Spiral-flute drill bits evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.

Bright Finish Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits

Bright Finish Spiral-Flute Solid Carbide Extended-Length Drill Bits
These bits do not have coolant holes, so a separate hose is required to bring coolant to the bits' tip if it is needed. The bits have a bright finish that is not affected when their cutting edges are resharpened. Spiral-flute drill bits evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.
