Double-ended drill bits have cutting edges on both ends. They can drill more holes before they need to be resharpened than single-ended drill bits. When the cutting edges on one end wear down, the bits can be flipped over to use the cutting edges on the other end. Both ends of the drill bits have the same dimensions and geometry. These bits install into equipment such as handheld drills and drill presses.
