Order LookupAnnular Cutters
Available1 product
Annular cutters install into magnetic-base drills, drill presses, and milling machines to make smooth-walled, burr-free holes in one pass. They use less power, create less torque, produce fewer chips, and drill to closer tolerances than standard twist drill bits. They also do not require predrilling or step drilling. Annular cutters have a hollow core surrounded by teeth that cut through the perimeter of the hole during drilling, leaving a solid slug in the center. They also have flutes that pull chips out of the hole during drilling and a pilot pin that centers the cutters and allows coolant to flow to their tip during drilling. Arbor adapters are required when using annular cutters with drill presses and milling machines.

Two-Piece Alternate-Tooth Carbide-Tipped Annular Cutters
These two-piece annular cutters feature an alternate-tooth geometry on their cutting edge that allows them to create holes faster than standard annular cutters. They make accurate, smooth-walled holes in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron up to 1/2" thick. The cutters have carbide-tipped teeth that provide more wear resistance and heat resistance and retain their hardness for longer than high-speed steel or cobalt teeth. They require an arbor adapter to connect them to compatible drill presses and magnetic-base drills.
