Rotary Broaches
Available111 products
Rotary broaches, also known as wobble broaches, produce accurate polygonal shapes in blind or through holes without the need for a secondary machining operation. They are used with a compatible rotary broach holder that has a spindle that spins independently of the rest of the holder. When the broach is used on a part that is rotating on a lathe or screw machine, this allows the broach to spin at the same rate as the part during the broaching operation. Rotary broaches create minimal heat during the broaching operation, which helps prevent damage to the workpiece. They also require less pressure to form the shape than punch-style broaches. Rotary broaches are commonly operated with lathes, milling machines, or machining centers in metalworking tasks.
Hex Rotary Broaches
Hexagonal rotary broaches make hex-shaped holes in fixtures, jigs, and sockets. Also known as wobble broaches, rotary broaches produce accurate polygonal shapes in blind or through holes without the need for a secondary machining operation. They are typically used in the medical and aerospace industries.
