Setup clamps hold workpieces in place during machining and assembly applications. Sometimes called strap clamps, they're used in conjunction with other positioning parts (such as T-slot nuts and bolts) for production work when the same task is repeated or when similar workpieces are clamped and worked on.
Standard Setup Clamps
Standard setup clamps have a tapered nose and long, smooth body for securing workpieces. The narrow height makes them a good choice for tight spaces or low-clearance areas, such as CNC work.

Setup Clamp Supports
Setup clamp supports install on the clamp shaft, T-bolts, or threaded rod to prevent the clamp from slipping. A set screw in the supports secures them to a shaft and a spring compresses when pressure is applied to secure the clamp.
