Indexing Plungers
Indexing plungers connect components with equipment for positioning, latching, and indexing applications. They install into indexing receptacles and have spring-loaded balls or pins on their nose that apply pressure to secure objects. Their balls or pins retract when the spring is compressed to disconnect parts and allow them to move apart.
Cam-Action Locking Indexing Plungers
These cam-action locking indexing plungers have levers that press down to engage their plunger's clamping force and lift up to retract it. Cam-action levers secure quickly, collapse to save space, and allow for accurately reproducing plunger positioning. They have lockout features that keep the plunger in the set position to prevent the spring from retracting. Locking indexing plungers are suitable for applications where the plunger needs to stay compressed for long periods to make adjustments or where vibrations or force could cause the indexing plunger to disengage.
