Keyed indexing plungers prevent unauthorized access to change plunger operation when positioning parts and latching components in machining applications. The key is removed after locking to ensure the plunger remains in position until unlocked. Plungers are installed using a hex nut that can only be removed when the plunger is retracted to prevent unauthorized removal. The locknut can be glued or welded in place to ensure the plunger is not tampered with from below the table or fixture.
