Grease Fittings

Grease fittings (also known as Zerk fittings or grease nipples) are permanently installed on mechanical systems and bearings to provide lubrication points for feeding lubricants to the systems or bearings without overflow or leaks. The fittings stay closed to keep out contaminants until the pressure from a grease gun forces them open to allow grease to flow to the system or bearing.

Thread forming grease fittings are used to save tapping cost, and have special tapered drive threads that reshape the material in an untapped hole to provide a leakproof seal.
