Order LookupSlant-Wall, Cone & Cylinder Exhaust Fans
Available1 product
Slant-wall, cone, and cylinder exhaust fans pull stale air, heat, odors, and some moisture out of indoor spaces to reduce airborne contaminants, improve indoor air quality, and allow occupants to breathe comfortably. They also may help regulate the indoor air temperature since they circulate the air. Also known as agricultural fans, these fans mount to an exterior wall and are suitable for applications where fans cannot be mounted to ceilings.
Motor Enclosure Design
Hazardous Location Direct-Drive Cylinder Exhaust Fans
The housing and blades on these cylinder exhaust fans are made from non-sparking materials, and the fans are rated for use in areas where combustible dust or certain flammable gases or vapors are present. Cylinder exhaust fans are more compact than slant-wall or cone exhaust fans, and they are commonly used in agricultural applications. They do not extend as far out from the wall as slant-wall fans, and they can be placed closer together than cone exhaust fans. The fans have shutters on the intake side, which helps minimize turbulence as air moves through the fan. The shutters close when the fans turn off to block out drafts. These fans also have discharge guards that help prevent objects from entering the fan on the discharge side. Direct-drive fans have few moving parts and typically require minimal maintenance. Each fan features a motor that's directly mounted on the fan shaft.
