Fire & Smoke Dampers
Fire and smoke dampers automatically close when temperatures reach a certain point to prevent the spread of smoke and fire through the duct system. They use a fusible link that melts above a specific temperature, releasing a spring-loaded damper or blade that blocks smoke and fire from moving through the duct.
Round Fire Dampers
Round fire dampers install into HVAC ducts and feature a fusible link that triggers above a specific temperature and closes shut using spring-loaded blades or gates. These dampers eliminate the spread of fire through the HVAC systems.
Dynamic
Dynamic dampers will close in the event of a fire, even if the HVAC system is operating. They feature mechanisms that are strong enough to close the damper and stay closed, even with the blower running at full speed.
