Fire & Smoke Dampers
Fire and smoke dampers automatically close when temperatures reach a certain point to prevent the spread of smoke and fire through the duct system. They use a fusible link that melts above a specific temperature, releasing a spring-loaded damper or blade that blocks smoke and fire from moving through the duct.
Round Motorized Fire & Smoke Dampers
Round motorized fire and smoke dampers have a fusible link and electric actuator that automatically close the damper when power is lost or the temperature exceeds the trigger point. These dampers eliminate the spread of smoke and flames in HVAC systems.
Dynamic
Dynamic dampers will close in the event of a fire, even if the HVAC system is operating. They feature mechanisms that are strong enough to close the damper and stay closed, even with the blower running at full speed.
