Thermostat wall cover plates and mounting kits are optional accessories that facilitate mounting and replacing nonpneumatic thermostats and sensors.
Mounting Kits
These kits include parts for mounting temperature sensors or thermostats. Mounting kits for sensors act as holders, allowing sensors to be placed where they're needed, such as on walls, ducts, piping, or immersion wells. Mounting kits for thermostats include a plate and the necessary hardware for wall mounting thermostats. Subbases install on a wall with the thermostat wiring attached. They simplify replacements since only the thermostat needs to be removed while the wiring stays in place. Kits must match the series of thermostats they're used with.

Wall Cover Plates
These plates cover holes or damage to walls when thermostats are replaced or smaller units are installed. The thermostat is mounted to the plate, which is secured against a wall or wall box, and the thermostat's wires are fed through the middle of the plate. Wall cover plates must match the brand or series of thermostats they're used with.
