Air-Coil & Bimetal Sensor Temperature Controls

These temperature controls have an air-coil or bimetal sensor that monitors and regulates the ambient air temperature. Controls with a bimetal sensor have the sensor inside the enclosure of the thermostat. Controls with an air-coil sensor have the sensor outside the housing of the thermostat. The sensor is directly in the airstream, so it gives a more accurate reading than bimetal sensors. These temperature controls are ideal for commercial and industrial HVAC applications where the temperature needs to be monitored at the location of the thermostat, such as commercial refrigeration, agriculture, and heating and cooling installations.

Flange-Mounted Two-Stage Duct Controls
These temperature controls flange-mount in any position into ducts and are ideal for furnace fans, rooftop units, and make-up heaters. Their enclosures are rated NEMA 1 for indoor applications. These controls are compatible with two-stage systems. Two-stage systems have two output levels, allow for more energy efficiency than single-stage systems, and cause less extreme changes in temperature. These temperature controls have an air-coil sensor that monitors and regulates the ambient air temperature. The sensing element is not affected by changes in barometric pressure or cross-ambient conditions.

Hazardous Location Single-Stage Controls
These temperature controls are suitable for use in hazardous locations, like grain elevators, chemical plants, and mines. They control temperatures in Class I, Group D and Class II, Groups E, F, and G hazardous locations. Class I, Group D hazardous locations are areas where flammable gases or vapors may be present. Class II, Groups E, F, and G hazardous locations are areas where combustible dust may be present. These controls are compatible with single-stage systems. Single-stage systems have a single output level and allow the system to be either on or off. These controls have an air-coil or bimetal sensor that monitors and regulates the ambient air temperature. The sensing element is not affected by changes in barometric pressure or cross-ambient conditions.
