Fan and limit controls dictate when the blower fan operates to ensure furnace systems run efficiently and safely. They feature a temperature sensor that can turn off the burner or furnace if temperatures exceed safe limits. They come in several different form factors that allow for installation in several places throughout the heating system.

Plenum fan and limit controls mount into the wall of a plenum and control when the blower fan is turned on and off. They feature a temperature probe that inserts through a hole in the plenum and measures the temperature of the furnace airstream. Depending on their configuration, they can have fixed or adjustable trigger temperatures.
