Plenum limit controls mount through the wall of a duct or furnace plenum and turn the fan off when the trigger temperature is reached. They feature a large base with notches or holes for mounting hardware to pass through and hold them in place. This provides the temperature probe with a solid base to withstand high airflow. They are commonly used as protection devices to turn systems on or off when temperatures exceed or drop below their setpoint.
