Control Signal

On/Off is a simple, two-state signal that is either fully on or off. They are used to control both standard and fail-safe actuators.
Floating Point is a three-state signal that moves actuators clockwise and counterclockwise. If there is no control signal, the actuator will remain in the current position. This allows users to set dampers or valves to be partially open for the fine-tuning of an HVAC system.
Floating Point with Timeout is a three-state signal that moves actuators clockwise and counterclockwise. If there is no control signal, the actuator will remain in the current position for a set amount of time and return to a default state. This allows users to set dampers or valves to be partially open for the fine-tuning of an HVAC system and return to an optimal state when not in use.
Proportional is a variable control signal that varies either the voltage or current to move an actuator to a certain point along its rotation. These signals are usually within the 0-10VDC or 0-20mA range.
Multi-Functional Technology (MFT) is a proprietary control signal that can be changed to allow for two-state, three-state, and PWM control of a connected actuator.

SPST indicates that the actuator includes a single relay with one possible connection. SPDT indicates that the actuator includes a single relay with two possible connections. The relay is activated by a control signal and moves the connection from one position to the other. This allows for the actuator to turn in different directions as power can be applied in opposite directions.
