Decorative Ceiling Fan Downrods
Decorative ceiling fan downrods suspend fans a distance from the ceiling to improve air circulation in rooms with high ceilings. These steel rods have through holes at each end for securing the rod between the ceiling and the fan head. They are typically selected in a length that will suspend fan blades 8 to 9 ft. from the floor for optimal airflow. They're commonly used on sloped ceilings to keep fan blades a safe distance from the ceiling.

Decorative Ceiling Fan Speed and Light Controls
Decorative ceiling fan speed and light controls allow fan settings to be changed from a distance when pull chains are absent or out of reach. These remote controls can be used to turn ceiling fans on and off, change the blade rotation speed, or adjust the lights. Fan-control wall switches are hardwired controls that are operated from a wall box and require wiring from the fan to the wall box. Wireless remote controls operate receivers that are already integrated into fan housings.
