Transformer cooling fans are sturdy, weatherproof fans for accelerating the cooling process in oil-cooled electrical transformers. They circulate air around the exterior of the transformer's radiator as oil works it way through the inside to dissipate heat and reduce the operating temperature of the transformer. These fans have a motor that rotates the fan blades to create airflow and a guard that helps protect the blades from damage and prevent injuries from accidental contact. They are typically used outdoors where most oil-cooled transformers are located.

Guard- and Tubular-Mount Transformer Cooling Fans
Guard- and tubular-mount transformer cooling fans blow air onto a transformer radiator to help regulate the temperature of an oil-cooled transformer. They help prevent overheating and reduce wear of transformers by circulating air around the radiator housing to speed cooling of oil within the radiator. These fans have a totally enclosed motor that keeps out dust and moisture and are thermally insulated for an extended life. They're typically used at power stations, large factories, and other installations with oil-cooled transformers. Guard-mount fans have loops that connect to a separate guard-mount mounting kit for attaching to a transformer. Tubular-mount fans have a frame that mounts directly to a transformer.
