In-Duct Air Cleaners

Available9 products

In-duct air cleaners install into ducted HVAC systems to clean the air in all rooms that are connected to the HVAC system. Also called whole-house air cleaners or air purifiers, they reduce airborne contaminants to help improve indoor air quality and neutralize odors in schools, offices, and other occupied spaces. These units require professional installation, and they only clean the air when the HVAC system is running. In-duct air cleaners rely on the airflow of the HVAC system to circulate the air, and they use one or more air cleaning methods to remove contaminants from the air that passes through them.

Media In-Duct Air Cleaners

Media In-Duct Air Cleaners

The filter media in these air cleaners neutralizes odors and traps airborne particles as air passes through the air cleaners. Also known as furnace air cleaners, media air cleaners help capture airborne particles released by the building's furnace. These air cleaners install into the return air duct of a forced-air HVAC system, and the system must be running to move air through the air cleaners.

Germicidal UV In-Duct Air Cleaners

Germicidal UV In-Duct Air Cleaners

The UV-C bulbs in these air cleaners reduce viruses, mold, and bacteria in the air that moves past the bulbs. The air cleaners install into the main supply or return air duct of a forced-air HVAC system. They can operate continuously, but they require the HVAC system to be running to move air past the bulbs. These air cleaners can also be installed near the HVAC system's A-coil to prevent mold and bacteria from growing on the A-coil and maintain the efficiency of the system's air conditioning.
