In-Duct Air Cleaners

Available12 products

In-duct air cleaners install into ducted HVAC systems to clean the air in all rooms that are connected to the HVAC system. Also called whole-house air cleaners or air purifiers, they reduce airborne contaminants to help improve indoor air quality and neutralize odors in schools, offices, and other occupied spaces. These units require professional installation, and they only clean the air when the HVAC system is running. In-duct air cleaners rely on the airflow of the HVAC system to circulate the air, and they use one or more air cleaning methods to remove contaminants from the air that passes through them.

Germicidal UV In-Duct Air Cleaners

Germicidal UV In-Duct Air Cleaners

The UV-C bulbs in these air cleaners reduce viruses, mold, and bacteria in the air that moves past the bulbs. The air cleaners install into the main supply or return air duct of a forced-air HVAC system. They can operate continuously, but they require the HVAC system to be running to move air past the bulbs. These air cleaners can also be installed near the HVAC system's A-coil to prevent mold and bacteria from growing on the A-coil and maintain the efficiency of the system's air conditioning.

VOC- & Odor-Reducing PCO In-Duct Air Cleaners

VOC- & Odor-Reducing PCO In-Duct Air Cleaners

These in-duct air cleaners use photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) filter media to neutralize volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other gaseous pollutants in the air that moves through the air cleaners. They also have UV-C bulbs that reduce airborne viruses, mold, and bacteria. PCO in-duct air cleaners install into the main supply or return air duct of a forced-air HVAC system. They can operate continuously, but they require the HVAC system to be running to move air through the filters and past the bulbs. The cleaners can also be placed near the HVAC system's A-coil to prevent mold and bacteria from growing on the A-coil and maintain the efficiency of the system's air conditioning.

Particle-Removal Ionization In-Duct Air Cleaners

Particle-Removal Ionization In-Duct Air Cleaners
An ion-generating device in these in-duct air cleaners neutralizes airborne pollutants and binds ions to dust, allergens, and other airborne particles that pass over the device. This ionization makes the particles larger and heavier and allows them to be more effectively captured by the HVAC system's filters. The HVAC system must be running in order to move air past the ionization device. Ionization in-duct air cleaners don't use filters or bulbs, so they require less maintenance than air cleaners that use UV, PCO, or filter media cleaning technology.
