Cube Air Filters

Cube air filters install into HVAC systems to trap large particles in the air stream before they build up on equipment and surfaces and damage them. These bag-like filters hold more particles than non-pleated panel and ring panel air filters. Cube filters have layered synthetic filter media that won't deteriorate or warp in wet or humid conditions. The media is attached to an internal metal frame, and it overlaps the frame to create a tight seal with the mounting channel when installed. This keeps air from bypassing the filter and eliminates the need for separate mounting hardware. MERV (minimum efficiency reporting value) ratings measure how efficiently a filter traps contaminants in the air stream based on the size of the particles it can effectively capture. The higher a filter's MERV rating is, the more effectively it traps small particles. Cube air filters are good for low-efficiency air filtration in paint booths, mining sites, and other areas with heavy dust or high humidity.

3-ply cube air filters have three layers of synthetic filter media that are heat-sealed together. These filters are tacky to the touch. They are ideal for replacing older cube-style air filters or basket-type filters in HVAC equipment. These MERV 8 cube filters provide between 50% and 70% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide 20% or less efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets).
