Minipleat Air Filters

Minipleat air filters have tightly pleated filter media that traps particles with high efficiency. They are lighter and hold more dust than rigid cell or cartridge air filters, and their rigid frame can withstand difficult operating conditions such as variable air volume, turbulent airflow, and high humidity. Minipleat filters are commonly installed in HVAC systems in offices, hospitals, museums, electronics manufacturing, and similar settings to remove contaminants from the air stream and increase indoor air quality. They also stop contaminants from building up in the equipment and damaging it. These filters have a MERV (minimum efficiency reporting value) rating of 11 to 14. A filter's MERV rating measures how efficiently it removes contaminants from the air stream based on the size of the particles it can effectively capture. The higher a filter's MERV rating is, the more effectively the filter traps small particles.

MERV 13 minipleat air filters capture almost 90% of particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as dusting aids and cement dust), 80% to 85% of particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets) and 35% to 50% of particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 12 minipleat air filters.

Zero-Bypass Minipleat Air Filters

Zero-Bypass Minipleat Air Filters

Zero-bypass minipleat air filters feature integrated gaskets that create a tight seal around the filter to prevent air from bypassing the filter media. This ensures that all the air flowing through the HVAC system is filtered and allows them to capture more than 95% of particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as dusting aids and cement dust), more than 90% of particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets) and more than 75% of particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder).

MERV 15 captures up to 95% of particles in the 3 to 10-micron range (such as dusting aids and cement dust), 90% to 95% of particles in the 1 to 3-micron range (lead dust), and 75% to 85% of particles in the 0.3 to 1-micron range (smoke and sneeze nuclei).
