Order LookupRigid Cell Air Filters
Available25 products
Rigid cell air filters (also called box air filters) are deeper than pleated panel air filters and have a sturdier frame. They install in HVAC systems to remove contaminants from the air stream so the contaminants don't build up in the equipment and damage it. They also improve indoor air quality. The filters' rigid frame can withstand fluctuations in airflow, making these filters ideal for variable-volume HVAC systems. Rigid cell filters provide medium- to high-efficiency filtration in settings such as office buildings, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, and schools. These filters have a MERV (minimum efficiency reporting value) rating of 8 to 14. A filter's MERV rating measures how efficiently it removes contaminants from the air stream based on the size of the particles it can effectively capture. The higher a filter's MERV rating is, the more effectively the filter traps small particles.
Performance Rating
MERV 11 Rigid Cell Air Filters
MERV 11 rigid cell air filters capture 80% to 85% of particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as dusting aids and cement dust), 50% to 65% of particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets), and less than 20% of particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 10 rigid cell air filters.
