Lunette rings are round heavy-duty trailer hitches that work with pintle hooks on tow vehicles. Pintle hooks and lunette rings make a more secure connection on rough terrain than ball-mounted trailer hitches. These two-part pintle hitches also allow for more movement during towing as the pintle can swivel on the lunette ring for easier maneuvering.
