Sheet Metal Screws
Available1,079 products
These screws fasten thin metal objects without cracking or breaking during installation. They have a threaded shank with a flat or rounded head. Unlike wood screws that are only partially threaded, sheet metal screws have shanks that are threaded down their entire length. The threads and tip of the screws are sharp, which allows them to easily cut through metal, wood, and other objects.
Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws
Pan-head sheet metal screws are self-tapping with a flat top and rounded sides. Used on thin materials like sheet metal or wood veneer, their coarse threads allow them to be continually fastened and unfastened for maintenance tasks. They are used in public areas such as on metal gutters, license plates, metal grills in jails, electric access panels, motor vehicles, and in food prep or processing areas.

Flat Head Sheet Metal Screws
Flat head sheet metal screws have sharp cutting threads to create firm fastening without pre-drilling pilot holes. These screws are used in sheet metal to sit flush with the surface leaving a clean, smooth finished appearance.
Round Head Sheet Metal Screws
Used in construction to join sheet metal layers together, these screws have a round head on top and a flat area under the head. The flat area binds tightly to the metal without damaging or fracturing the sheets. The screws are available with corrosion-resistant finishes. They fasten 0.025" and thinner sheet metal. Thicker materials may first require a pilot hole to be drilled.
K-Lath Sheet Metal Screws
K-lath screws help attach wire lath to thin metal or wood. They have self-tapping threads, a self-piercing point and a low-profile head, which speeds installation into substrates. K-lath screws with a Phillips head allow for better centering during installation.
Button Head Sheet Metal Screw
Button head cap screws have a large diameter head for more holding power and easier fastening. They can attach weld spatter guards made of sheet metal and may also be used for attaching sheet metal to a plate or block, such as into an electrical box.
Truss Head Sheet Metal Screws
Truss head sheet metal screws have a wider head than standard round head screws to extend holding power and reduce the risk of cracking thin metal. They fasten 0.025" and thinner sheet metal.
Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws
Oval-head sheet metal screws are self-tapping with a rounded top and are partly countersunk, with about half of the screw head above the surface. Used on thin materials like sheet metal or wood veneer, their coarse threads allow them to be continually fastened and unfastened for maintenance tasks.
Hex Head Washer Sheet Metal Screws
Hex head washer sheet metal screws attach metal hardware to wood. The washer stops the screw from gouging or damaging the wood frames. They have a fully threaded shank that provides strength in door or window frames.
Sheet Metal Screw Assortments
Sheet metal screw assortments fasten metal sheets to other metal objects. They come in a variety of sizes and can also attach metal sheeting to plastic, aluminum, plywood, hard rubber, or wood. Assortments also contain different finishes to be used for either indoor or outdoor applications.
