Multichannel Surface Raceways

Multichannel surface raceways have multiple divisions for routing wire and cable. These raceways are used when different types of wire or cable need to be routed separately. Surface raceways mount on walls and ceilings to bring wire and cable into a space. Wire and cable are laid into or pulled through the raceways after installation, keeping the conductors from being exposed and preventing kinks. These raceways commonly house communication and power cable, and they're often installed in classrooms, offices, and hotels. Individual components in raceway systems must be purchased from the same brand and series to ensure compatibility.

Straight-Section Multichannel Raceways

These straight-section raceways make up the foundation of a raceway system. They route and protect wire and cable in a straight line and have a multichannel design to route different types of wire within a single raceway. These raceway sections can connect with multiple straight sections for long, simple runs, or fittings can be attached for modifications.

Covers for Straight-Section Multichannel Raceways

Covers are placed over open straight-section, multichannel raceways to protect the wire and cable inside. They keep out dust, dirt, and other debris, and they prevent personnel from accidentally touching the wire and cable. The brand and series of the cover must match the brand and series of the raceway. Covers are only required for straight-section raceways that do not include a built-in or separate cover.
