NEMA Manual Motor Starters
Non-Reversing Starters with Thermal Overloads
These non-reversing NEMA manual motor starters with thermal overload relays connect and disconnect power to motors and other high-current equipment and machinery in a single direction. Thermal overload relays prompt motor starters to break electrical connections with downstream equipment once a set temperature is reached. The thermal units, also known as heaters, are made of either bimetallic strips or solder-type materials and change shape as electrical current increases and temperatures rise. As the material changes shape, it opens and closes contacts that signal motor starters to disconnect power and prevent connected loads from overheating and causing damage.

Enclosed Non-Reversing Starters with Thermal Overloads
These non-reversing NEMA manual motor starters with thermal overloads have enclosures that protect their internal components from impacts, debris, and dust. Non-reversing motor starters connect and disconnect power to motors and other high-current equipment and machinery in a single direction. Thermal overload relays, also known as heaters, prompt motor starters to break electrical connections with downstream equipment once a set temperature is reached.
