Contact Form

Refers to the number and type of contacts a device has for controlling connections.

1NO indicates the device has one normally open (NC) contact. NO contacts close circuits when energized.
1NC indicates the device has one normally closed (NC) contact. NC contacts open circuits when energized.
1NO/1NC indicates the device has a normally open (NO) contact and a normally closed (NC) contact. NO contacts close circuits when energized. NC contacts open circuits when energized.
2NO/2NC indicates the device has two normally open (NO) contacts and two normally closed (NC) contacts. NO contacts close circuits when energized. NC contacts open circuits when energized.
SPDT this represents a single-pole, double-throw switch. They control one circuit and have changeover contacts.

Class I, Div 1, Group B, C, D are for hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors may be present during normal operations. Class I hazards are commonly found in petroleum refineries, fuel dispensaries, sewage treatment plants, and processes using chemicals, paints, coatings, or sealants. This rating indicates the electrical device is suitable for use with the following hazardous materials: Group B (hydrogen, butadiene, ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, and acrolein), Group C (ethylene, cyclopropane, and ethyl ether), and Group D (acetone, ammonia, benzene, butane, ethanol, gasoline, hexane, methane, methanol, naphtha, natural gas, propane, and toluene).
