These push buttons are for environments where the possibility of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids, ignitable fibers or particles, or combustible dust may exist under normal and abnormal conditions. They have location ratings that classify their suitable operating environment and must be paired with similarly-rated hazardous-location devices to be compliant with safety standards.

They have large, mushroom-shaped heads that are intuitive and easy to actuate if wearing gloves, making them ideal for emergency stop (e-stop) buttons. Non-illuminated push buttons are ideal for use as situations where light indication is unnecessary or could be distracting.
