Machine Safety Sensors & Interlock Switches
Machine safety sensors and interlock switches shut off power to industrial machinery and systems to help prevent accidents and damage to them. Cable pull switches are installed along the length of conveyors or machinery and are pulled by operators to quickly turn off the power in an emergency. Door hinge safety-interlock switches are installed on doors, cabinets, and access panels and disconnect power when they are opened. Foot switches and foot-switch guards allow operators to control machinery with their feet. Magnetically actuated safety-interlock switches detect the presence or absence of magnets to turn circuits on and off. Mechanically actuated safety-interlock switches react to physical contact and rapidly open or close circuits to interrupt power connections and prevent accidents or damage to machinery. Safety light curtains provide an alternative to traditional machine guarding that won't interfere with machine maintenance.
