Hazardous Location Disconnect Switches
Available15 products
Hazardous-location disconnect switches provide control of electrical connections in environments where the possibility of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids, ignitable fibers or flyings, or combustible dust may exist under normal and abnormal conditions. They have location ratings that classify their designated operating environment and must be mated with compatible, hazardous-location devices to be compliant with safety standards. Disconnect switches have manual shutdown mechanisms that open and close circuits to disconnect and connect power from single-load industrial equipment, motors, and electrical operations.
Fusible Disconnect Switches
These hazardous-location disconnect switches have fuses that blow if the connection experiences an electrical overload or short. They shut off power immediately if there is an electrical malfunction to protect high-current industrial equipment in wet and debris-ridden environments. Fuses are sold separately.

Non-Fusible Disconnect Switches
These hazardous-location non-fusible disconnect switches don't have fuses to protect against electrical overloads or shorts. Non-fusible disconnect switches are suitable for applications where downstream equipment has its own overcurrent protection.
