These fuse links are the replaceable element used in a fuse cutout assembly, which consists of the link, a frame, and a fuse holder. They are expulsion fuses that limit the duration of an overcurrent but not its magnitude.

Time-delay fuse cutout links are Type T links that tolerate temporary inrush currents without opening, which prevents nuisance-blowing from motor and equipment startups.
