British & IEC Fuses

Available41 products
British and IEC fuses meet British, IEC, or other non-US standards for low-voltage, general purpose overcurrent protection. They're used to prevent electrical damage in HVAC and lighting equipment that's typically of European or Canadian origin.

IEC Type D Fuses

IEC Type D Fuses
Type D fuses are low-voltage, DIN-style fuses for protecting against overcurrent in power distribution systems, electrical cables, and other general industrial equipment. Also called diazed fuses, these milk-bottle-shaped fuses are typically used as replacements for Type D fuses commonly found in European-manufactured equipment. They have different tip diameters based on their current rating to pair with a matching mounting base. This matching system helps ensure protection against overcurrent by preventing the use of fuses rated too high for the circuit. These nonindicating fuses have no indicator for identifying a blown fuse, so they're sometimes used with an indicating fuse block or cover. Time-delay (slow-blow) Type D fuses tolerate temporary inrush currents without opening, which prevents nuisance-blowing from motor and equipment startups. Fast-acting (fast-blow) Type D fuses open within seconds of being exposed to overloads and short circuits for protecting appliances, integrated circuits, control circuits, control circuit transformers, and other equipment with specific current-limitation requirements.

CSA Type P Fuses

CSA Type P Fuses
CSA Type P fuses meet Canadian Standards Association requirements for protecting lighting and heating circuits from overcurrent. These fast-acting fuses are used in circuits that have low short-circuit currents. Also called Type P fast-blow fuses, they are highly sensitive to changes in current flow and don't tolerate temporary overload currents or power surges.

General Purpose BS 88 Fuses

General Purpose BS 88 Fuses
General purpose BS 88 fuses are British Standard fuses for protecting lighting and heating circuits from overcurrent. They're typically found in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices as well as equipment manufactured in the United Kingdom or British Commonwealth countries.
